Your mission

As a Mechanical Engineer in our Tech team, your mission is to support the design, prototyping, and hands-on development of innovative battery manufacturing solutions. You will play an important role in advancing our process development by combining CAD modelling, 3D printing, and hands-on mechanical skills. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the engineering of next-generation battery manufacturing, working closely with an international and technology-driven team to support our journey.

YOUR TASK

Design and modify 3D CAD models for manufacturing prototypes, machines, and fixtures.
Measure, select and purchase parts in the field of pneumatics, fluid flow, motors, sensors, and similar.
Use 3D printing and basic machining tools, including drilling and milling, to build prototypes and testing apparatus.
Participate in design reviews, conduct risk analyses, and support hands-on execution by assembling and commissioning prototypes, as well as assisting with testing setups to evaluate mechanical functionality and design robustness.
Document designs, BOMs, test setups, and findings to support future development and enhance design iterations.

Your profile

You have a degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Production Engineering, or a related field.
You have at least 2 years of experience in 3D CAD modelling (such as Autodesk Inventor) and experience in CAD assembly, tolerance stack up, and preparing 2D CAD drawings (applying GD&T) for manufacturing.
You have a solid understanding of mechanical design principles, solid mechanics, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
You have a good knowledge of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturability principles.
You are competent in hands-on mechanical abilities, including drilling, cutting, grinding and fitting. Experience with lathe, milling, and basic machining is a plus.
Having experience in 3D printing and rapid prototyping is desirable.
Having experience in pneumatic systems, fluid flow control, and process automation is a valuable plus.
You are self-motivated, adaptable and reliable, with strong attention to detail, demonstrating a proactive problem-solving approach in a collaborative, agile start-up environment.

Ihre Aufgaben

Als Mechanical Engineer in unserem Tech-Team unterstützt Du die Entwicklung, das Prototyping und den praktischen Aufbau innovativer Lösungen für unsere Batteriezellenfertigung. Dabei kombinierst Du CAD-Konstruktion, 3D-Druck und Dein handwerkliches Geschick, um unsere Prozessentwicklung voranzutreiben. Du spielst eine wichtige Rolle bei der Gestaltung von Next-Generation-Batteriefertigung und arbeitest eng mit einem internationalen, technologiegetriebenen Team zusammen. So leistest Du einen direkten Beitrag zu unserer gemeinsamen Mision, nachhaltige und skalierbare Batterietechnologien Realität werden zu lassen.

Du konstruierst und modifizierst 3D-CAD-Modelle für Prototypen, Maschinen und Vorrichtungen.
Du wählst und beschaffst Bauteile aus den Bereichen Pneumatik, Fluidik, Motoren, Sensorik und ähnlichem.
Du nutzt 3D-Druck und grundlegende Bearbeitungstechniken wie Bohren und Fräsen, um Prototypen und Testaufbauten herzustellen.
Du nimmst an Design Reviews teil, führst Risikoanalysen durch und unterstützt die praktische Umsetzung durch Montage und Inbetriebnahme von Prototypen sowie beim Aufbau von Testumgebungen, um mechanische Funktionalität und Designrobustheit zu prüfen.
Du dokumentierst Designs, Stücklisten, Testaufbauten und Ergebnisse, um die Weiterentwicklung zu unterstützen und künftige Design-Iterationen zu verbessern.

Ihr Profil

Du hast einen Abschluss in Maschinenbau, Mechatronik, Produktionstechnik oder einem vergleichbaren Studiengang.
Du bringst mindestens 2 Jahre Erfahrung in der 3D-CAD-Modellierung (z. B. Autodesk Inventor) sowie in der CAD-Baugruppenmodellierung, Toleranzanalyse und in der Erstellung von 2D-CAD-Zeichnungen (unter Anwendung von GD&T) für die Fertigung mit.
Du verfügst über ein sehr gutes Verständnis von Konstruktionsprinzipien, Festigkeitslehre, Thermodynamik und Strömungsmechanik.
Du hast gute Kenntnisse der Fertigungsverfahren und der Prinzipien des „Design for Manufacturability“.
Du bist handwerklich versiert, insbesondere in Bohren, Schneiden, Schleifen und Montieren. Erfahrung mit Drehmaschine, Fräsen und grundlegender Zerspanung ist von Vorteil.
Erfahrung im 3D-Druck und in der Rapid-Prototyping-Technologie ist wünschenswert.
Kenntnisse in Pneumatischer Steuerungstechnik, Strömungssteuerung und Prozessautomatisierung sind ein wertvolles Plus.
Du hast sehr gute Englischkenntnisse (unser Unternehmenssprache ist Englisch).
Du bist selbstmotiviert, anpassungsfähig und zuverlässig, arbeitest detailorientiert und zeigst eine proaktive, lösungsorientierte Herangehensweise in einem kollaborativen, agilen Start-up-Umfeld.
