MECHATRONICS/MECHANICAL ENGINEER (M/F/D)

Your mission
As a Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineer in our R&D team, your mission is to support the design, prototyping, and hands-on development of innovative battery manufacturing solutions. You will play an important role in advancing our process development by combining CAD modelling, 3D printing, and hands-on mechanical skills. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the engineering of next-generation battery manufacturing, working closely with an international and technology-driven team to support our ​journey.


YOUR TASK

  • Design and modify 3D CAD models for manufacturing prototypes, machines, and fixtures.
  • Use 3D printing and basic machining tools, including drilling and milling, to build prototypes and testing apparatus.
  • Select, purchase and dimension automation components in the field of motors, sensors, pneumatic actuators, and similar.
  • Participate in hands-on execution by assembling and commissioning prototypes, and assisting with testing setups to evaluate mechanical functionality and design robustness.
  • Document designs, test setups, and findings to support future development and enhance design iterations.
Your profile
  • Holds a degree or a technician (Meister/Techniker) in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with technical training (Ausbildung) in mechanics or mechatronics preferred.
  • Has proficiency in CAD modelling software (such as Autodesk Inventor) and experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping methods.
  • Competence in solid mechanical ability with hands-on skills in drilling, milling, and basic machining for prototype assembly and testing.
  • Having experience in pneumatic systems, fluid flow control, and process automation is a valuable plus.
  • Is self-motivated and reliable with strong attention to detail, demonstrating a proactive problem-solving approach in a collaborative, fast-paced start-up environment.

Ihre Aufgaben
Als Mechatronik-/Maschinenbauingenieur (M/W/D) in unserem F&E-Team besteht Ihre Aufgabe darin, den internen Prototypenbau und die effiziente Umsetzung innovativer Lösungen für unsere Zelltechnologie zu unterstützen. Sie spielen eine wichtige Rolle in der Weiterentwicklung unserer Prozesse, indem Sie idealerweise CAD-Modellierung, 3D-Druck und praktische mechanische Fähigkeiten kombinieren. Diese Position bietet eine hervorragende Gelegenheit, zur Entwicklung der nächsten Generation von Batteriefertigungstechnologien beizutragen und in einem internationalen, technologieorientierten Team an unserer Vision mitzuwirken.


IHRE AUFGABEN

  • Konstruktion und Modifikation von 3D-CAD-Modellen für Fertigungsprototypen, Maschinen und Vorrichtungen.
  • Einsatz von 3D-Druck und konventioneller Fertigungstechnik wie Bohren, Fräsen und Drehen, um Prototypen und Vorrichtungen aufzubauen.
  • Auswahl, Dimensionierung und Beschaffung von Automatisierungskomponenten wie Motoren, Sensoren, pneumatischen Aktoren und ähnlichen Bauteilen.
  • Praktische Umsetzung durch Montage und Inbetriebnahmen sowie Unterstützung bei der Erstellung von Testaufbauten
  • Dokumentation von Designs, Testaufbauten und Ergebnissen, um zukünftige Entwicklungen zu unterstützen und Designiterationen zu optimieren.
Ihr Profil
  • Abgeschlossenes Studium zum Maschinenbau, Mechatronik oder eine Qualifikation als Meister/Techniker im Bereich Mechatronik, Maschinenbau oder einem verwandten Fachgebiet, idealerweise mit technischer Ausbildung
  • Beherrscht CAD-Software (z. B. Autodesk Inventor) und verfügt über Erfahrung mit 3D-Druck und Methoden des Rapid Prototyping.
  • Besitzt solide praktische Fertigkeiten in den Bereichen Bohren, Fräsen und Drehen
  • Erfahrung mit pneumatischer und elektrischer Antriebstechnik sind von Vorteil.
  • Verfügt über fließende Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.
  • Ist selbstmotiviert, zuverlässig und verfügt über eine ausgeprägte Liebe zum Detail, kombiniert mit einer proaktiven Problemlösungsmentalität in einem kollaborativen und dynamischen Start-up-Umfeld.
